I went to Billy's Deli Restaurant for lunch today. It was my second time there...ever, and has been awhile. I even had the same dish. Corned beef hash (freshly shredded potato with chopped, sweet onions and bell pepper - and corned beef, of course), 2 eggs over easy, rye toast and a can of Coke for $10.01. I was not disappointed. The bubbly and flirty waitress happily took my order and tip. The nicer weather is bringing out the smiles in folks, I guess. I am looking forward to visit number three - assuming my wife doesn't break my legs. Maybe I will try something different - but only from the menu, of course.
The added bonus was the walk back to work to burn off some of the calories I just consumed. The restaurant is near Dundas and Talbot streets. So, I decided to walk north on Talbot to Dufferin then across back to work. It's only about 1.5 Km round trip but better than having fries and gravy from the cafeteria and wasting away and my desk. I also seen some interesting characters on the street on my way back. All for now.
