It's an aggressive list but I should be able to get a few the items done.
Some possible summer projects for this year include (but not limited too!) the following:
Pimp my Lawn-Tractor:
It needs an overhaul starting with a new ignition switch and new battery cables. I should sharpen the blades, maybe replace the deck bearings, wash and paint the deck, complete lube & oil, and general tightening. My biggest concern is the status of the drive belt and transmission. If they go bust this year, I will get a lot of exercise using the push mower - not ideal. A big #8 and Bud decal on the side would be good. Something to drive the #24 loving neighbor crazy! (I wonder if she’ll read this post. haha)
Plant a garden:
The garden for this season will be considerably smaller than last year. The weeds grew too fast, too long and the garden wasn't watered often enough. It was hard to keep up considering the traveling I had each week. Tomatoes are definitely a go. I plan to bottle some up again this year. I may cheat and buy some established pepper plants. I would also like to plant some onions, carrots and radish. I need better seeds than last year. They didn't take!
Landscape labour:
I plan to leave the majority of ideas and architectural wizardry to re-create our landscape to my lovely wife. I will provide the solutions when implementing her grand vision - basically, I will be the muscle. My only creative solution will be to flower box-up the tree in the front yard and maybe the apple trees, and of course, rip out the hedge and decaying trees at the front of the house.
Sled upgrades:
I need to revamp the suspension and maybe a new track (with studs). I should also re-build the top end, and clean the entire sled from ski to back bumper.
Go-cart build off - phase 1:
Ideally, I would like to obtain a frame instead of building one from scratch and somewhat assemble a half-ass go-cart using my old snowblower motor. The first phase will be crude. The main goal is to simply propel forward. I will test my brainpower and engineering capabilities next winter creating enhancements during snowmobiling downtime.
Ultimate garage makeover:
I would like to clean the garage and optimize the layout of my junk, insulate the ceiling and make the doors and windows airtight.
If only I won the lotto! Then I could retire and have lots of time to relive my childhood.

What a long combined list. We are working it though!
I will be seriously surprised if we complete 80% or more of the list. We are on a roll though. It is a nice trend.
